What is polyester webbing sling?
Webbing slings are flexible, lightweight, and have a wide bearing surface which helps protect the load you are lifting and their stretch characteristics help minimise shock loading problems. Our polyester web slings are designed to handle heavy lifting jobs without becoming damaged.
Polyester web slings are used mostly in conditions where nylon is not practical. Polyester has minimum stretch (rated at 3%) and can be used in environments that contain acids. Polyester slings will not be affected by bleaching agents or common acids, unlike nylon slings.
Polyester web slings are used primarily in conditions where acid is present or a minimum stretch is desired. Polyester is unaffected by common acids and hot bleaching agents, but the material is unsuitable for use in conditions where concentrated sulfuric acid and alkaline is present. Polyester is also unsuitable in locations where temperatures exceed 194° F (90° C). Stretch of a polyester web sling at rated capacity is approximately 3%.
